The Arts at Gateway Christian Church
The church is a place and a community that is enriched through the presence of the arts. At Gateway we honor the contributions of the arts through our music program, through the stained glass windows which bring light and color into the sanctuary, and through seasonal additions to our sanctuary and adjoining rooms.
Visual art is a part of the discussion in many of our Bible study and small group gatherings. It expands our view and opens our eyes in new ways.
An introductory workshop in mosaic tile creations produced beautiful projects which have become part of the art of the church. An addition to the art of the church is a beautiful watercolor painting of the three wisemen, by local artist, Marilyn Neal.
As a part of our Gateway Performance Series, the Gateway Gallery is now open, showing a Prelude Exhibition of four works by Photographer Gino Ng.
Our pastor has an interest in engaging the arts in order to enliven the worship and community life of the church. If you have an interest in the arts, or are an artist in search of a community where you can share and dialogue about your work, please contact David. He would like to form a group which would meet on at least a monthly basis. You can reach him at 310-473-3191.
