Off the Shelf Book Club
The next book to be taken off the shelf for the book club is The Red Tent, by Anita Diamant. The group will meet to discuss the book on Friday, November 16th, at 10:00 a.m. Come and share your insights and put out questions for everyone to consider.
In the Potter's Hands
Everyone is welcome to this small group discussion about topics of interest. An initial context will be provided each week, and passages from scripture will enliven the conversation, but the primary input will be from the participants. This group meets on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. Come and share your thoughts and insights.
Bible study is on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. We are engaged in a study of the book of Revelation.
Our next time of meditation practice will be on Thursday, November 29th, at 7:30 p.m. We begin with a half-hour of discussion about a topic related to spirituality and prayer, and then move into the worship space for a time of sitting in meditation accompanied by soft music. Join us.
We are blessed to have a personal trainer, Tutu Lecko, as a member of the church, and equally blessed as he graciously offers his time and expertise to us on Monday evenings. People of all levels of fitness are welcome, and Tutu will attentively work with where you are and lead you toward greater wholeness of body, and of mind as well. His encouraging and welcoming nature comes out with everyone. However, don’t mistake his wonderful attitude as meaning that we don’t work hard with him. He encourages us to become stronger and healthier, and he helps each person to push themselves in appropriate ways. Come and join us for a wonderful hour, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. each Monday evening. And thank you Tutu!
Visit again to take note of future events.
